Dr Gabriel grew up moving around the world while his father served as a US Navy pilot. His family settled in Great Falls, Montana where he attended High School and met his beautiful wife, Pam. He attended The University of Notre Dame on an Air Force ROTC scholarship where he earned his degree in mechanical engineering. Following eight years as an engineer in the US Air Force, Dr Gabriel began pursuing his dental career.
Dr Gabriel has been practicing dentistry since 2003. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery with Distinction from the University of Minnesota followed by a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in the US Air Force. After enjoying one year as a general dentist, he attended the University of Iowa and received his Certificate and Master of Science degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
Dr Gabriel earned his Diplomate status and Board Certification in Orthodontics in 2011 which means he successfully completed a voluntary and rigorous written and clinical examination process through the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO). ABO Certification is recognized worldwide and represents the highest commitment to excellence in clinical orthodontics.
Dr Gabriel proudly served in the US Air Force for 26 years and achieved the rank of Colonel. The last 16 of those years he had the privilege of providing comprehensive orthodontic care to service members and their families all over the world. He is passionate about orthodontics and building relationships with his patients. Creating a beautiful result together is very rewarding!

Dr Gabriel has stayed current in the latest orthodontic technology and techniques by attending the AAO Annual Sessions and various other forms of orthodontic continuing education. He also taught orthodontics and complex surgical orthodontics to Air Force dental residents for seven years and was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Air Force Postgraduate Dental School for the Uniformed Services of the Health Sciences.

Outside the Office
Dr Gabriel's 26-year career in the US Air Force sent him and his family all over the globe. They have lived in 12 homes, in seven states (California x2, Washington, Ohio, Minnesota, Montana, Iowa, and Virginia x2), and two foreign countries (Japan and Germany), before selecting the beautiful Columbia Gorge as their final home.
Dr Gabriel and his wife Pam have four beautiful daughters: Brenna, Morgan, Sydney and Amelia. They also have a quirky Australian shepherd, Oki, who keeps them active on the trails.
Travel has been an integral part of Dr Gabriel's upbringing and has continued throughout his life. He and his family enjoy immersing themselves in other cultures, and exploring places off the beaten path. Dr Gabriel is active in hiking, fishing, camping, golfing, skiing, and most importantly spending quality time with his immediate and extended families in the Pacific Northwest and Montana.
Dr Gabriel and his family have always been active members in their local church with teaching and outreach activities. It’s always been important to give back to the communities that have given so much to their family.
